PROJECTS
Our projects section showcases a selection of groundwork jobs we’ve completed across well-known local areas, reflecting the quality and reliability we bring to every site. Each project highlights the care, precision, and hard work our team puts into delivering results that stand the test of time.

01
Dewsbury Hospital
At Dewsbury Hospital, we delivered external improvement works to the outdoor areas of Wards 18 and 19 while operating within a live, fully active hospital environment that remained open to the public throughout. This required strict health and safety measures, including controlled access zones, clear segregation of work areas, and continuous risk management to ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety. Works on Ward 18 involved excavation and removal of existing materials, demolition of built-in planters and two walls, followed by preparation and installation of a VubaMac sub-base system and FlexiStone resin bonded gravel finish. On Ward 19, we excavated approximately 267m², reduced the central planter, demolished and removed a wall, and completed the installation of the specified VubaMac sub-base system and FlexiStone surfacing to create a durable and improved outdoor space.
02
Barnsley Hospice
At Barnsley Hospice, we undertook voluntary works to give back to our local community, focusing on improvements to the inpatient unit garden. The project involved moving approximately 40 tonnes of soil and transforming a narrow pathway into a practical and welcoming seating area, creating a more accessible and comfortable outdoor space for patients and visitors to enjoy.

03
Cooper Art Gallery
At Cooper Art Gallery, we carried out specialist works to the boundary wall to facilitate foundation improvements. This involved carefully dismantling the existing stone wall and storing materials off-site for reuse, followed by excavation and ground preparation ahead of pile installation. Once the foundation works were complete, the wall was reconstructed using the original stone to maintain its historic character. The project also included mobilisation and the completion of a dynamic load test to ensure structural integrity.
04
Mapplewell Cycle Track
For this project, we excavated around 180m² of ground and removed all waste from site, leaving the area clear and ready for the next stage of works. Precast concrete edgings were then installed along both sides of the cycle track to create a strong and durable edge while clearly defining the route. Once the edgings were in place, the base was prepared using Type 1 limestone, which was levelled and compacted to provide a solid and reliable foundation. After the groundwork was completed, a full specification tarmac surface was laid across the track to create a smooth and long-lasting finish. To complete the project, the cycle track was marked out with white thermoplastic lining to clearly define the lane and improve visibility for users.
